There is no shortage of AI hype. There is a serious shortage of clear, honest, tested guidance for normal people who just want AI to be useful. That gap is why techdomina exists.
What you'll find here
The site does two things, for the same reader:
- Guides to running your own private AI at home — plain-language, no-coding walkthroughs for setting up a ChatGPT-style assistant on hardware you own, so your data never leaves the house.
- A hand-picked directory of AI tools — for the jobs where a cloud tool is the right call, organized by what you actually need to get done, with the hype filtered out.
Private AI at home and the best cloud tools are two answers to the same question — "how do I actually get value from AI?" — so they live under one roof.
Who's behind it
techdomina is run by Misterdom, a network and infrastructure specialist. The through-line is a working professional's bias: prefer what's tested over what's trendy, be honest about trade-offs, and never recommend something just because it pays.
